The Devil Dog Arms HOG 338 is the result of our collaborative effort to build a premium bolt-action rifle chambered in .338 Lapua. The Ruger SRH rifles are well known for their shootability and smooth action, but we wanted more from an HOG than just hunting – we wanted to compete at the highest level.

The HOG is built to satisfy the long range shooter that demands accuracy, reliability, and performance. It is designed for a wide range of applications from hitting targets out to 1000 yards or hunting big game at short distances. The 338Lapua is an accurate and versatile cartridge that has been around for decades. Its popularity as a bench rest round has led to it gaining widespread acceptance by hunters as well. While some think that this is too much rifle and cartridge for most hunting scenarios I would disagree. The 338Lapua has less recoil than our 300WinMag but still delivers a lot more punch (and mass).

The Devil Dog Arms HOG 338 Lapua Bolt-Action Rifle is designed with the new hunter in mind. The larger sizes of this rifle are great for hogs, deer, or elk! The HOG features a solid one piece carbon fiber composite stock with a detachable magazine and a fluted heavy barrel. This will be our most powerful clip action rifle.
